My wife and I had an excellent time on this tour, visiting two vineyards, trying some exceptional wines and having a great lunch. You will not go hungry! The journey through the hills to La Rioja is stunning, and was improved even further by our knowledgeable guide Marcel who is clearly very proud of his basque heritage. It is one of the more expensive things to do on a short stay in San Sebastian but it was well worth the money. Cannot recommend it enough. Marcel was a 5 star guide!

The tour guide Ander was informative and engaging during the drive to the winery and in Laguardia. We learned so much! It was wonderful not to have to worry about the logistics of traveling to the Rioja wine country. We were able to truly relax and enjoy the view of Basque countryside during the ride and enjoy the delicious food and wine.

Both the tour and our guide, Fernando, were great. Knowledgeable and friendly making sure we had a great time. Bring a sweater for the cellar tour even in August.
Wonderful day in Rioja

After a couple of hours drive from San Sebastián we arrived in the quaint little town of Laguardia and had the most magnificent view of the Rioja valley. Our tour guide Reuben took us to two wineries. The first was an underground winery which was interesting but the second winery was much larger. The guide was so passionate about her work and explained everything to perfection. The wine tastings were all wonderful and the behind the scenes look at how they produce the wine was very interesting. The second winery was a lot more exclusive, they offered us tastings from their Gran Reserva and snacks to compliment
