Palau Guell
At the beginning of the century, the high class of Barcelona wanted to live in the city centre. The most remarkable example of this desire is the Palau Guell, the house of the same Guell family that founded the construction of the Park Guell and the major patron of Gaudi’s work. Have a look at the facade of this private house, where a young Gaudi shows already all his talent to master the light and create beautiful shapes even with a very limited space.

Cat, Fernando Botero
Continue your walking tour to discover the Raval, the most multicultural and off the beaten path district of the Old Town, that attracts people from diverse social, cultural and geographical backgrounds. Our tour guide Armando was amazing! So friendly and welcoming, taking the time to learn everyone's names and a bit about who we were (which made conversation between the multicultural tour members fun and interesting!). He was very knowledgeable about the history of Barcelona and the places we visited and even showed us other points of interest along the way. He went above and beyond as a tour guide, giving us recommendations on places to go and eat, offered to take photos for everyone, spent time talking to every tour member and making us all feel welcome.

The tour itself was lovely. A walk through Barcelona to the colour filled market, followed by a quick subway and cable car ride for some breathtaking views of the entire city atop Montjuic Castle, finishing off with a walk through the Olympic stadium. I would highly recommend this tour and especially our guide Armando!
Good tour !

Not the best of tours. This was partly due to the tour being mixed so the guide was going to be speaking in both English and Spanish. Since the guides first language was Spanish he spent more time talking to the 2 Spanish people rather than the 5 English speakers. The views from Montjuic were amazing but not my favorite tour. The tour concluded in the Castle on Montjuic which I don’t recall anything in the description about that which would have been nice to know for planning out the rest of my day.
