Alcazar of Segovia
En su ya bimilenaria existencia, el Alcázar segoviano ha sido castro romano, fortaleza medieval, palacio real, custodio del tesoro real, prisión de estado​, Real Colegio de Artillería y Archivo General Militar.

Se trata de uno de los castillos-palacio de finales de la Edad Media, comienzos de la Edad Moderna, más distintivos de toda Europa en virtud de su forma de proa de barco.

Las Murallas de Avila
La muralla tiene un perímetro de 2516 metros, 2500 almenas, 87 cubos o torreones y 9 puertas. Ocupa una superficie de 33 hectáreas y conforma un rectángulo orientado de este a oeste. Sus muros tienen 3 metros de grosor y 12 de altura. Aunque desde la conquista romana de la ciudad existiera una muralla o cerca, la actual muralla data de la segunda mitad del siglo XII

Catedral de Avila
La catedral de Cristo Salvador fue proyectada como templo y fortaleza, siendo su ábside uno de los cubos de la muralla de la ciudad. No se sabe con precisión cuando se inició la construcción de la catedral, habiendo dos teorías, una que defiende que Álvaro García comenzó a construirla en el año 1091 sobre los restos de la iglesia de San Salvador, arruinada por los sucesivos ataques musulmanes, y que Alfonso VI de León recaudó el dinero necesario para edificarla. No obstante, la mayoría de los historiadores la fechan en el siglo XII.

Casco Historico de Avila
Ávila posee los títulos de «Ávila del Rey» —otorgado por Alfonso VII—, «Ávila de los Leales» —otorgado por Alfonso VIII— y «Ávila de los Caballeros» —otorgado por Alfonso X—, todos ellos presentes en la bandera de la ciudad. La seña de identidad es su muralla medieval completa, de estilo románico. Ha sido considerada tradicionalmente como «ciudad de cantos y de santos» y su casco histórico medieval, en excelente estado de conservación, fue declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad en 1985.
