Monumento a Filippo IV
It is a sculptural ensemble located in the center of the Plaza de Oriente, one of the enclosures of greatest historical and artistic interest of the city. The equestrian statue, the first with the horse's front legs raised, supported on the hind legs, of King Philip IV, dates from the 17th century, and was sculpted by Pietro Tacca.

Catedral de Sta Maria la Real de la Almudena
Main temple of the Archdiocese of Madrid, seat of the archbishop and the metropolitan chapter. It is 102 meters long and 73 meters high, and was built from the late nineteenth century to the late twentieth century, in different architectural styles: neoclassical on the outside, neo-Gothic inside and neo-Romanesque in the crypt.
